New Exhibit! Under the Arctic: Digging into Permafrost

Saturday, September 26, 2020, 5:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Join the GRPM for the opening day of our newest exhibit, Under the Arctic: Digging into Permafrost! Under the Arctic addresses climate change through the lens of a thawing Arctic environment. Step into the boots of a climate science researcher to explore real Ice Age fossils, ancient ice cores and engineering challenges posed by thawing permafrost. The exhibit also features a 30-foot-long Alaskan permafrost tunnel replica of the nation’s only permafrost research tunnel! Under the Arctic will be open through Spring 2021, and is included with general admission to the Museum.
